These heart garlands are so darn cute! I just love making them because I can have an adorable decoration in a few short minutes–no exaggeration!
As you can see, I can’t stop making them. The garlands are perfect for Valentine’s Day but would also be darling for a baby or bridal shower, a photo booth background or as a wall hanging in a nursery or child’s room.
I found scrapbook paper packets at Michaels that feature all kinds of color variations in pinks, blues and oranges. I also bought a heart punch so these garlands come together in minutes. Cutting the hearts by hand is quick too but be sure to use a template so that your hearts are a uniform size.
All you need to do:
- Cut or punch out your hearts; heavy card stock works best
- Punch holes in the hearts where you’ll thread the twine
- I created a “master” so that my holes where all in the exact same location on each heart
- String the hearts on the twine or ribbon
- You’re done!
